Crawling

I woke up a week ago to find that Abigail had officially entered the world of crawling!! She caught on rather quickly and is now all over the house. Needless to say discipline has started now too. Titus thinks it is great when we tell Abi "no" and loves to tell her all the thing she is not supposed to do. In fact he is quite the little tattle-tale. It is good sometimes if she is playing with the fireplace or eating something off the floor. She has also started pulling herself up on things. I think Titus is her great motivator. We were praying for a mellow little girl but at this rate I don't think we got one.

Christmas tree time

Titus is so excited about "rismus". We have been talking about winter and Christmas for the last month, but I think he has learned most about winter from Caillou (his favorite show). He loves snow and our Christmas tree. He got to help dad cut it down yesterday and thought it was the greatest thing. He was not very excited about decorating it but loves to pull the ornaments off the tree. This morning he walked around the house saying "what's this, what's this, what's this?" pointing to all the new candles and decorations. It was very cute! He is not understanding the real point of Christmas yet but we pray that will come soon.

7 months

Abigail is not officially crawling yet but she has been pulling herself around the house for the last few weeks. It is a mix between an army crawl and real crawling it is rather funny to watch.

She has gotten quite chunky since I started feeding her solids a month ago. She has got some serious rolls on her legs. She loves food!! She is not picky and will eat whatever I give her. I hope that never changes but it probably will:)

Well we see a lot of drool now days since she has two teeth already. She is a trooper and hardly fussed with the second one.

She loves her abuelo! We are so happy that Michaels parents have been able to spend so much time with the kids. We just found out they are staying through the holidays which will be great.

Titus is talking... well sort of!

Titus loves to talk but it is so hard to understand a lot of what he says. I always feel bad when it takes me a while to figure it out but here are a few of his most common phrases.

aldon down = almost done (I don't think he understand what this means because he says all day long about lots of different things)
oost aeggs =toast and eggs (what he asks for every morning while jumping up and down saying yay, yay)
wow! wow! ice eens= wow! wow! rice and beans (while he watches me make me make lunch)
Abu opp ryering= Abi stop crying (I am sure you can figure that one out)
doe doe doe= "Go Dogs Go" his absolute favorite book(right now)!
mama dot= mama watch (he pulls a chair into the kitchen to watch me cook. Our kitchen is very narrow and this about drives me crazy sometimes but it is so cute so I can't say no)
mama dout= mama help(he loves helping mom cook, set the table, and throw dirty diapers away, only the wet ones don't worry:)
moee=more cookie (this took a little bit for me to figure out)

Titus is talking on the calculator saying "elwhoo, elwhoo"

Titus and Abi after a bath. I am so glad Abigail is big enough to take a bath with Titus they both love it.

Teeth, Barn Burner, and Leaves

Abi has a tooth!! Well she has had it for a little while now but I just now decided to get a picture of it. She is such a big girl now:(

We love our eight maple trees but we do not like raking all the leaves it gives us!! Titus loved helping us and jumping in the piles.

I think I have been to at least 8 Barn Burners. They are always so much fun. Titus loved it because all of his favorite people were there.

Abi and Titus playing

Abigail started real food (if you can call it that) a few days ago. She loves eating. Life is a bit messier now!

So I love this video she is so funny you have to watch her mouth.
It is like she is talking without sounds coming out! (and now I know not to turn the camera sideways for videos)

Stevie's Cross country Meet

Four Kids

oh,no five kids

I think my mom and I are crazy sometimes. We end up taking 4-5 kids under 4 with us alot of times. We always have fun but it is a little stressful sometimes!!
This time we took them to see a friends Cross country meet. Sophie asked "Where are they going?" when they started running. She didn't understand the concept of Cross Country. Stevie ran 3 miles in 15:40, Wow!!!

Abi playing on her mat

You gotta love laundry days

She sticks her tongue out when she smiles alot. It makes me laugh!

The video is pretty funny. Titus thinks he needs to help Abi roll over (even though she can do it all by herself). Good thing Abi love Titus and will put up with almost anything...being fed crackers, having things thrown at her etc.

It is hard to believe two years have come and gone. We are so thankful for our little guy. He is full of energy and laugher. He says hi to everyone he sees and makes sure they feel loved and included in things that are going on. He is our social kid!! He makes us smile all the time! We love you Titus Luke!

Work Day

We had an outdoor workday on Sat. It was very productive thanks to everyone who came. We finally put in the window wells for the egress windows we put in last year. We painted the railings on the porch and the garage doors. We pulled out some trees we didn't want growing in our flowers, pruned our bushes, and weeded. It doesn't sound like that much but it took 7 adults and two kids 6 hours to get it done! As you can tell Titus wanted to be where the action was. He was are biggest little helper!

Here are a couple new pictures of Abigail. She will be 5 months on the 12th. Wow, does time fly!! She is rolling over from her stomach to her back and scootin' around. She is a much happier baby now a days which I am so thankful for!!

prayer request update 8/05

Since our last prayer requests... We have decided to continue with College ministry for a final year. So, we are excited about what HE will do at EWU. We have also decided that Seminary will be our next step. Unfortunately, it will probably be another two years before that happens due to our unfinished house (which needs to sell first) and Michaels lack of a four year degree (which should be completed this year). We are thankful for more direction!!
More prayer Request...
Figuring out our work schedules/childcare

Back to Work

I started back to work on the 5th. I just finished 8 full days of hospital orientation! Most of it was agonizing to sit through but some of it was good review. Wow, what a changed it was from just taking care of a husband, kids, house etc. I realized how wonderful...

maternity leave has been. We are hoping someday I will be on maternity leave permanently. For now God has provided a what seems to be a great new job. I am now working at Holy Family Hospital on the ACU (acute care unit). I'm looking forward to learning more about cardiac stuff. I start orientation to the floor on Monday. So, until the middle of Sept I will be working three 8 hour shifts a week. After that I plan on working 5 shifts a month. I am not sure how women who work full time and have children handle it. The last two weeks have been interesting to say the least. Thankfully Michaels schedule worked out so he was able to watch the kids most of the time. Our wonderful parents filled in the gaps except for one day when Evelyn Hatten was able to help. We are still trying to figure out who will be taking care of kids when our schedules overlap. Which seems like it might happen more than we thought now that we are both working evenings. God has been faithful up until now and we know He will continue to be!

We played a lot last week and had a ton of fun. Here are some of the pictures...

This was not fun. Titus got into finger nail polish. If you were wondering if it comes out of upholstery or wood chairs it doesn't.
